Forming Questions with 吗

Learn how to form questions.

Placing 吗 at the end of a statement turns it into a question. Here are a couple examples:

Example	Explanation
你叫 Mary 吗？ nǐ jiào Mary ma? Is your name Mary?	你叫 Mary. Your name is Mary.
她喜欢读书吗？ tā xǐhuān dúshū ma? Does she like to read books?	她喜欢读书。 She likes to read books.
